Wow, Swing Shift's concert was simply amazing. The band was in rare form and Hubert Laws was, as might be expected, extraordinary. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with one of the masters of jazz. It was a true privilege to write and conduct for such a wonderful (and very kind) artist.
